  With 20 years in the industry, Dathan started as a barber in Minneapolis. Being recognized for his creativity, he started working with Aveda at 19 in downtown Minneapolis. Driven to learn he continued to train on hair color with many influential celebrity stylists at Loreal, Goldwell, Minardi, and Schwartzkopf. He became an educator with Framesi where his techniques required approvement by a board in Milan, Italy. He then began teaching in New England, became a certified Redken colorist at the Redken exchange NYC, and became a board certified colorist in NYC. With hair cutting he trained with Vidal Sassoon in South Beach Miami and London, in New York City with Toni & Guy,  Bumble and Bumble, Deva Curl, Graham Webb, Jingles, Big Sexy Hair, and Prive both in NYC and Beverly Hills. Dathan continues to search for educators who have innovative techniques and current trends to share with his salon.
