- Family PracticeBoard Certified - ABPM (Occupational Medicine) Dr. Upham received her undergraduate degree form Brandeis University and then attended the University of Massachusetts Medical School. She completed the UMMS Fitchburg Family Practice Residency in1989 and worked as a Family Practitioner for several years. She then returned to UMMS where she completed a Masters in Public Health Program and the Occupational and Environmental Medicine Fellowship. She is board certified through the ABPM (Occupational Medicine). She completed training in acupuncture through Harvard Medical School. She has been practicing as an occupational medicine specialist since 1993 and has special interests in onsite services, medical surveillance, toxicology, reproductive hazards, indoor air quality, cumulative trauma disorders and education. She is a certified Medical Review Officer and a certified Commercial Driver Medical Examiner. She has been elected to the New England Collage of Occupational Medicine's Board of Directors and is the editor of the NECOEM news letter, "The Reporter". She has lectured on a wide variety of occupational topics for groups including employees, employers, and other professional groups. In addition to providing direct patient care for injuries, she performs independent medical evaluations, permanent impairment ratings, and second opinions.

- ElectrocardiogramMedical Surveillance Services BEHC provides comprehensive medical surveillance and screening programs that are cost effective and insure company compliance with state and federal (OSHA) regulations. Laboratory studies are performed onsite, including blood draws, urine collections, pulmonary function testing, EKGs, radiological studies and audiograms.
- ImmunizationsPreplacement (Post Offer) Examinations This service is conducted in accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act. These examinations assist employers in properly identifying whether an individual, who has been offered a job, can safely physically perform the job with or without work accommodation. Regulated screening or testing can be combined with this examination such as drug and alcohol testing, OSHA mandated screening, hearing conservation, vaccinations, or tuberculosis testing.
- Carpal Tunnel SyndromeMusculoskeletal or neurological injuries (acute or cumulative) such as spine injuries, tendinitis, contusions, joint strains, carpal tunnel syndrome or thoracic outlet syndrome.
- RadiologyOur services meet the majority of a company's occupational health needs. These include injury care, fitness for duty evaluations, DOT examinations, OSHA mandated preventive examinations, preplacement examinations, functional testing, onsite and tailored stretching programs, drug screening, MRO services, ergonomic evaluations, second opinions, independent medical examinations, permanent impairment ratings, physical and occupational therapy, and physical & rehabilitation medicine specialist treatment for complex musculoskeletal cases. In house diagnostic services include radiology, EMG testing, BTE functional testing, pulmonary function testing, audiograms and phlebotomy.
- OrthopedicsPhysical Therapy Lori Joseph, PT, DPT Lori graduated with her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from UNE in 2019 and has a Bachelor's of Science in Nutrition & Physiology from UC Berkeley. She has previous experience in orthopedics as well as worker's compensation. She has worked in a variety of settings including those focusing on acute care, home health, and outpatient orthopedics. Her career interests include manual therapy, muscle energy techniques, and chronic pain.
- Physical TherapyPhysical Therapy Ashley Kelly, PT, DPT Ashley received her Bachelors of Science in Exercise Science as well as her Doctorate of Physical Therapy at Simmons Collage. Prior to her work at Bayside Employee Health Center, she worked in the inpatient setting treating patients with of all ages with a host of medical complications and complexities. She was also an athlete for many years and provides her own lived experience in her patient's injuries.
- Occupational TherapyPhysical and Occupational Therapy Many injured workers benefit from the expertise of a therapist to fully recover. Physical and occupational therapy offers effective treatments for symptom management and tissue healing, as well as exercises and stretches aimed at regaining motion, strength, flexibility and endurance. Education is integral to our therapy program, especially as it relates to self-care and ergonomics at the work place. Treatment time is spent one-on-one with the injured workers and therapist.
- Manual TherapyAshley I gentle and soft spoken initially which allows her patients the time that they need to gain confidence and trust. Ashley uses many different techniques in her treatment but relies heavily on manual therapy to assist her patients in reaching their goals.
