everyone that works here is great minus one employee who i've had multiple problems with named darrin. if you go into the store make sure you get anyone but him. everyone else is extremely knowledgeable and extremely fun to talk to. there is also a younger guy in the fish room that is extremely funny. they have beautiful tanks in their fish room and all the fish look very healthy and happy. they have an excellent section of cat and dog foods and much of the staff can recommend the best food to fit what you're cat or dog will need. they also have some stuff for small animals. the adoption days they have are very cool as well as when they have other strange pets in there. i loveeee this store and will shop there for along time as long as i don't have to deal with darrin.

This store is the place to shop for all your pet needs in the greater Kalamazoo area. They stock the healthiest foods in the area--I don't think even ONE of their brands has been included in the recent pet food recalls due to the melamine problem. The owners have this store because they want to provide the best service and products, not because it's a chain that can make money. If you are going to write a check, you should know that this store puts your check through immediately, so you may as well use your charge card or debit card and save your paper checks for when you need them. They also do pet tags on site so you don't have to send away for it. I have switched my cat to Nutrisource (which is what I use for my dog(s) too) and he loves it. I am hoping I won't have to go back to the Science Diet specialty cat food that costs $3.00 per pound! MVPets sells pet food that you can trust--it might not be cheap, but it's worth the peace of mind and healthier pet.
