Mariposa Elementary School provides a variety of extracurricular activities to students in kindergarten through grade five. Its academic curriculum includes various subjects, such as reading, mathematics, writing, physical education, art, social studies and science. The school also offers Title I reading, music and physical education programs. It has a parent-teacher association that organizes a variety of fundraising programs. The school operates a positive behavioral support program that aims to build a school atmosphere that acknowledges positive behavior rather than focuses on problem behavior. It is a part of the St. Lucie County School District and is located in Port St. Lucie, Fla.
