Summary- I was up-sold an irrigation system (Hunter MP Rotator) that was not right for the application. I was referred this company by the landscaper who completed the landscaping on my new home build. I interviewed and priced out this company as well as others. I chose this company because of the personal referral as well as this company saying this "commercial grade" sprinkler system (more expensive than other bids) is better for the lawn and "they use them on all golf courses". The issues started immediately after the installation was completed. With all new wells they have sand & sediment from being new. The well driller as well as this company stated that will subside after 30-45 days and to constantly clean the well filter. Over the course of the next 12 months I tried everything to get the system to operate properly and consistently. The valves had to be cleaned out, nozzles changed, and heads being installed too low. This resulted in the nozzles not spinning/ not watering the lawn making the grass die quickly. I spent hours trying to "service" the system as directed by this company due to them being too busy. When it came to installing the 2nd half of the system after the pool was installed (about 14 months after) I was assured the system would be gone through and made right. After multiple attempts to get this company to my house to change the incorrect spray pattern nozzles, lift the heads that were installed too low, and fix the non-rotating nozzles they are now pointing the blame to everyone they can including me because the sand ruined the nozzles (even though Hunter's site prides themselves on these nozzles being "built to resist sand and debris)". I offered to pay $200 to cover the labor of switching out the system to a "regular system" that would function properly no matter how much sand or sediment is in the well. THEY AGREED IF A NORMAL ROTOR SYSTEM WAS INSTALLED ORIGINALLY I WOULD NOT HAVE HAD THESE PROBLEMS!!! As a customer I hired professionals (and paid very good money) to install the correct equipment given the application. I am now stuck with a system where all 8 zones have large areas of dying grass.
