Opened in 2001, Chasco Middle School serves more than 900 students in grades six through eight. The school offers an array of sports programs that include football, volleyball, basketball, cheerleading, soccer, and track and field. The school employs several guidance counselors who assist students on various issues, such as friendship, social skills, family, grief, self-esteem, anger management, drug abuse prevention and career education. Chasco Middle School also organizes safety programs for students. The school is a part of the Pasco County School District, which operates more than 50 elementary, middle and high schools. The school district also includes Bayonet Point Middle School, Anclote Elementary School and Pasco High School. Chasco Middle School is located in Port Richey, Fla.
