St. Clair County Jail is part of St. Clair County Sheriff's Office, which is governed by St. Clair County in Michigan. The jail offers individual counseling, crisis intervention and group therapy programs for inmates. It also provides adult basic education and high school completion classes. St. Clair County Jail assists inmates to access various medical and dental care services. Founded in 1954, the jail has a staff of more than 100 employees. St. Clair County Sheriff's Office offers police services for several unincorporated areas of the county. The office responds to over 40,000 calls each year. In addition, it owns and manages a centralized emergency dispatch center.
