Founded in 1886, Charlotte County Public Schools offers various educational and curricular programs and services. The school district serves more than 17,000 students of prekindergarten through grade 12. It offers various academic and elective programs, including music, art, physical education, chorus, technology, health, foreign language and careers explorations. The school district has various coeducational, elementary, middle and high schools. It offers a wide variety of athletic programs for students, such as basketball, soccer, softball, volleyball, track, wrestling, football, baseball, golf, tennis, soccer and swimming.
