Dr. W.T. Griggs Elementary School is a part of the Currituck County Schools and serves more than 450 students in grades kindergarten through five. Its staffs include counselors, psychologists, nurses, speech therapists and teachers. The media center of the school provides materials that support the curriculum and the reading interests of the students. Dr. W.T. Griggs Elementary School provides special services for students suffering from cognitive and emotional disorders. The school provides classes in Computer, music, physical education, life skills, foreign language and math. The sports programs offered by the school include as basketball, volleyball, cheerleading, softball, baseball and track. Dr. W.T. Griggs Elementary School is located in Poplar Branch, N.C.
