For over fifty years Whaley's Resort on Many Point Lake has been a favorite fishing spot for our family. This year was the worst. The camp is in disrepair. Our first night we had to take ice cold showers because the hot water did not work and they close up the office at 9:00 PM so couldn't get it fixed until the next day. The depth gauge on the boat did not work. The motor I rented for the boat kept dying. The troll battery was not only dead, but needed to be replaced. Markup on everything was terrible; five cent razors cost $1.20; baseball style caps cost $22.00; gas is $5.00 a gallon; worms are about $4.00 a dozen as are minnows. The worst part is the way the current owners seem to blaim all problems onto guests and talk about how well the care for the camp. We will not be back until Whaley's passes to new ownership! Too bad because we so love to be there, but not this year.
