Grace Memorial Funeral Chapel was opened in November of 1954 by the late Forrest E. Miles and his mother, Grace M. Miles ( for whom the chapel is named ). The Miles family set forth from the very beginning, a standard of outstanding funeral service for the Ponca City area. The chapel was fully remodeled in 1983. In 1990 the chapel was purchased by the International Loewen Funeral Group and with the retention of staff has long continued to uphold the standards of excellence that the Miles family worked most of their lives to develop. The company was restructured in 1999 under the Alderwoods Group and purchased in 2007 by the Paxus Services Group. The entire staff of Grace Memorial Chapel is dedicated to their profession. These people know the people, traditions and customs that help make for a comforting funeral experience. These staff members have invested in the Ponca City community by supporting and participating in church, school and other organizations.
