Pompton Lakes High School is a four-year public high school that enrolls more than 600 students and offers higher learning opportunities. It provides academic education to students in grades nine through 12. The school is approved by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Secondary Schools. The school s curriculum includes English, foreign languages, math, science and social studies. It also offers advanced placement courses in biology, chemistry, English, Spanish, German and United States history. Additionally, the school offers elective courses in art, business administration, home economics and music. Pompton Lakes High School has a library and media center that provides books, Grolier s encyclopedias, audiovisual aids and electronic database. The school offers parent-teacher association and National Honor Society program. It organizes various extracurricular activities, such as arts, music and band, and offers student clubs and organizations. Additionally, the school provides counseling services and various sports activities, including basketball and wrestling.
