San Jose Elementary School enrolls more than 400 students in kindergarten through grade six. Its academic curriculum includes math, science, social studies and language arts. The school organizes parent education workshops and formal and informal conferences. In addition, San Jose Elementary School conducts Spelling Bee and Speech Meet competitions. It is staffed with over 20 classroom teachers. The school has a parent-teacher organization that offers parent education and fundraising services. San Jose Elementary School also has a board of education and advisory council. It operates a library and media center. San Jose Elementary School is a part of the Pomona Unified School District, which serves nearly 600 students in elementary, middle and high schools.
