I have a feeling that Guest61588 about an "8v swap out is not being honest or thinks he knows more about his car than Jim. the guy, Guest61588, has not being honest with Jim about the car or honest with us in his review.

I had them swap in a new 8v in my jetta. After the swap they told me my water temp gauge was not working. I told them that it was highly doubtful and that the car wasn't heating up. It needed a new thermostat which they said they replaced. Drove the car home to notice huge clouds of smoke from the exhaust while idling. Took the car back to them (1.5hr drive both ways) to have them swap out the thermostat I suggested in the first place. Problem fixed. Car has been in shop between both visits for almost 4 weeks now. They are taking care of me, but didn't do a good job of making sure they sent out quality work. Without my persistence I wouldn't have been able to get the items addressed that they needed to be. It's frustrating being treated like I don't know what I'm talking about, when I do. Obviously this isn't going to be the case for everyone. He has been honest about dealing with the issues and making them right as far as i know. Hope the car comes back running correctly this time
