Last Sunday I was traveling through your fine city and stopped at the Common Cents store on Arthur. The clerk there, I think her name was Amanda, was so friendly and cheerful I either wanted to take her with me or stay there. The store was clean and she was very helpful. I am a widow and nervous about traveling. She directed me to the dog park so my dogs could get some exercise and told me of a nice place to get a bite to eat. She helped me pick out some snacks to keep me hydrated and alert. If I pass through this way again I will stop to see her. I don't know if she is the manager but she should be in charge of customer service. I hope you appreciate her as an employee and treat her accordingly. Many thanks, Stella Putnam
11-26-10 between 9:30-10:00pm. I drove my son and his friend down to common cents for some beverages, the friend paid for her items with a foodstamp card and bought a lottery ticket at one cashier. While scratching off the ticket the line got busy. She took her winning ticket over to the other cashier to get her free ticket. The cashier charged her again for the drinks and had to pay another .36. We tried to explain to her that the drinks were already paid for on the other side and that she was just getting her free ticket, but instead of listening, told us that we would have to pay for another ticket. i went back and tried to explain to the 1st cashier what had happened and request the $1.36 back. It was then her attitude got real bad and said the other cashier wasn't trying to rip the friend off! (Mind you the kids are slow and learning how to manage money), I would like them to stop and listen to the customer instead of throwing attitudes around. I will be going to another C.S.
