- Primary CarePocatello Orthopaedics was formed in 1995 by Dr. Richard A. Wathne after he completed an orthopaedic surgery sports medicine fellowship. The following year he was joined by Dr. Benjamin Blair, who had just completed an orthopaedic spine surgery fellowship. This allowed us to provide expert comprehensive care in general, trauma, sports medicine, neck and back orthopaedic surgery. With Dr. Wathne focusing on shoulder and knee surgery to include arthroscopic reconstructions, rotator cuff repair, ACL, and total joint replacements. In 2005, Pocatello Orthopaedics welcomed Jeffrey Bray, DPM. The addition of Dr. Bray to our practice allowed us to offer podiatric care to the community. Dr. Bray provides both conservative and surgical treatment for the foot and ankle. Dr. Anthony Joseph joined Pocatello Orthopaedics in 2011, focusing on sports medicine, and bringing an extensive background in primary care sports medicine, with special emphasis on concussion treatment, and helping the athlete return safely to play. He has 17 years of experience at Idaho State University performing conservative management of college athletes. Dr. Gregory Ford has also joined our team of physicians. He specializes in sports injuries, joint replacements, and state of the art hip surgeries. Dr. Ford does a direct anterior approach hip replacement in which no tendons or muscles are cut as they are during traditional approaches. Dr. Ford is the only orthopaedic surgeon in Pocatello performing these advanced surgical techniques. He also specializes in all arthroscopic rotator cuff repairs, shoulder stabilization, arthroscopic ACL reconstruction of the knee, and total knee replacements. In July of 2013 we welcomed Brent M. Faure, MS; ATC, a Certified and Licensed Athletic Trainer. Faure has been assisting Idaho athletes with the care, prevention and rehabilitation of their sports-related injuries since 1981, and has been key in forming a comprehensive sports medicine program for the Pocatello/Chubbuck School District.
- Family PracticeDr. Tony Joseph is certified in sports medicine and family practice since 1990. He has sports medicine experience at the high school, college and professional levels, and has been the team physician for Idaho State University for 18 years.

- UltrasoundDr. Joseph is the only member of the American Medical Society of Sports Medicine currently practicing in Southeast Idaho. He is also a member of the North American Spine Society since 2006 and the American Institute of Ultrasound Medicine since 2008. - ArthroscopyDr. Wathne is board certified in orthopaedic surgery with a current Certificate of Added Qualification in Sports Medicine. He is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, the Arthroscopy Association of North America, and the Idaho Orthopaedics Society. He is also a member of the American College of Surgeons, the Idaho Medical Association, and the Southeastern Idaho Medical Society.

- Knee ReplacementDr. Wathne is in private practice in an orthopaedic specialty group in Pocatello, Idaho. His orthopaedic practice focus is primarily on the treatment of all shoulder and knee conditions. He has additional expertise in arthroscopic reconstruction, such as rotator cuff and anterior cruciate ligament surgery, as well as total shoulder and total knee replacement surgery. - Reconstructive SurgeryHe completed his orthopaedic surgery residency in 1994 at the renowned Hospital for Joint Diseases and Orthopaedic Institute, New York, New York, where in his final year he was Chief Resident and received multiple academic awards. From 1994 to 1995, he performed a fellowship in sports medicine at the University of Colorado in Denver where he provided care for the Division I athletes and college students as well as gaining invaluable experience in arthroscopic reconstructive surgery.
