Local 1776 Federal Credit Union
UFCW Local 1776 Federal Credit Union
General Info
The UFCW Local 1776 Federal Credit Union was chartered in 1963 as Retail Clerks Local 1357 Federal Credit Union to serve the financial needs of the retail clerks. In 1987, the host organization changed its name from Local 1357 to Local 1776. The name of the credit union was also officially changed to UFCW Local 1776 Federal Credit Union. In that same year, the credit union began serving the members of Local 1358. The Local 1358 served the South Jersey Shore areas. In 2006, the Local 1358 absorbed the Local 56 to form the new Local 152. We are dedicated to providing quality products and services to members of UFCW Locals 1776 and 152. As a non-profit, member-owned cooperative, we offer attractive rates on your deposited funds and provide low interest loans to meet your financial needs. As always, members have a direct impact on how we operate. Members elect our volunteer Board of Directors who help oversee credit union operations. Checks and balances are provided by a volunteer Supervisory Committee. Our Credit Committee reviews loan approvals and denials to ensure integrity in our lending practices. Our members make all the difference. Your participation in the credit union helps promote the sense of community upon which the institution was founded. We encourage members to be active in the credit union because we depend on your input to pave the way to the future. E-Mail us today to find out how you can take advantage of the valuable services that a member owned Credit Union can provide. Membership Eligibility You are eligible for credit union membership if you are a member of either UFCW Local 1776 or Local 152. Your spouse, children, parents, brothers, sisters, in-laws, or any relative by blood or marriage may also join the credit union.
