I have had my PR8100NC sweeper for about a month and have used it quite a number of times since buying it. It works wonderfully on hard floors, and works well on my low pile carpets. My problem with it is with the second brush that comes with it. It is used to pick up pet hair and fur. It works very well for picking up the fur. You are supposed to be able to pull the brush apart to clean the fur off it. It will do so until it gets perhaps 12 to 15 hairs on it. At that point you are unable to remove the inner brush from the unit. The hairs latch on to the bristles. After attempting to clean the unit this way 3 times, the knob couldn't handle the strain and simply came off. It is necessary to clean it the old fashioned way, with a comb and scissors. I still like the unit because it does pick up the fur and that's what I bought it to do. Just don't expect that brush to be easy to clean
