- GlaucomaGlaucoma is called “the sneak thief of sight” because if left untreated it will slowly, quietly steal your side vision until you have no sight left. Glaucoma occurs predominantly after age 40 years and is caused by damage to the optic nerve from high eye pressure. It is the second leading cause of blindness in the world! Once vision is lost to glaucoma, it can never be recovered. However, there are fortunately many effective medical, laser, and surgical treatments for this disease.

- CataractsA cataract is a natural clouding of the lens in the eye commonly seen among people 70 years and older. Patients with cataracts typically will complain of blurred vision, nighttime glare, and occasionally double vision. Cataracts are caused by aging but are made worse by UV sun exposure, steroids, and diabetes.
- Cataract SurgeryThe treatment for cataracts involves the surgical removal of the cloudy, “cataractous” lens and its replacement with an intraocular lens implant. Cataract surgery is performed by Eye M.D.s (ophthalmologists) in an operating room under sterile conditions utilizing a microscope and mild IV sedation. In cataract surgery, the cloudy lens is removed through a tiny incision using an ultrasonic needle. The “cataractous” lens is then replaced with a clear, plastic lens implant. Since cataract surgery is performed through a self-sealing wound, sutures are not necessary. The entire procedure takes around 15 minutes!
- Eye ExamAfter deciding to have cataract surgery, your next biggest decision is whether you want a standard or a premium lens implant. Dr. Strecker will advise you according to your lifestyle needs and your eye examination. But the bottom line is its your choice whether a standard or a premium lens implant would be best for you!

- BotoxAs your face ages, it loses volume leading to a hollowing or gaunt appearance. Also over time, gravity pulls on your face causing it to sag. Injectables – Botox along with the dermal fillers Restylane, Juvederm, and Voluma – can be used together to reverse these signs of aging without the need for surgery.
- Eyelid SurgeryAfter – 2 months after upper lid eyelid surgery, this patient’s eyes have opened up allowing him to see more clearly.
- Face LiftThe Liquid Face Lift creates a more natural appearance (no “wind swept look”). It is safer, less costly, and minimally invasive compared to a surgical face lift.
- BlepharoplastyAs we age, the soft tissues around our eyes (skin, muscle, and fat) begins to sag causing visual problems and making us look old and tired. Blepharoplasty or eyelid lift can reverse these signs of aging eyes improving your vision and turning back the clock 10 years or more. Check out the photo gallery below to
