The Carthage jail, a Mormon destination, is just 20 miles away and Nauvoo, home of the Mormon Temple, and the French Icarian settlement is just 22 miles further. Plymouth is a small town where two of Joseph Smith's brothers had a hotel. Immerse yourself in Victoriana, visit the Amish, shop our antiques stores, or just relax in our home. Plymouth Rock Roost has been a Bed & Breakfast since 1988 and is owned by Joyce Steiner.
