Plymouth Rock Roost Bed & Breakfast
General Info
Why not step back in time with a visit to Plymouth Rock Roost Bed and Breakfast? A visit to our B&B is a visit to our home, not just a room. Plymouth Rock Roost is located in a tiny village in historic Hancock County. Our spacious Queen Anne Victorian home was lovingly created by banker Henry Grandville Metzger for his wife Julia, at the turn of the century. Our home is filled with antiques, orchids, hospitality, and you may enjoy all the collections which fill our home. Plymouth is located just 20 miles from Macomb, home of Western Illinois University. The Carthage jail, a Mormon destination, is just 20 miles away and Nauvoo, home of the Mormon Temple, and the French Icarian settlement is just 22 miles further. Plymouth is a small town where two of Joseph Smith's brothers had a hotel. Immerse yourself in Victoriana, visit the Amish, shop our antiques stores, or just relax in our home. Plymouth Rock Roost has been a Bed & Breakfast since 1988 and is owned by Joyce Steiner. We can provide a ride from the Macomb Amtrak station for your convenience. Why not step back in time with a visit to Plymouth Rock Roost Bed and Breakfast?
