Valley View Middle School is an educational institution that is a part of the Mount Diablo Unified School District. Established in 1963, the school serves more than 700 students in grades six through eight. Its academic curriculum includes English, math, science and social science. The school conducts drug and violence prevention education sessions. It also offers speech and occupational therapies for students with special needs. Valley View Middle School operates a student congress, jazz band, and environmental, book and challenge clubs. The school offers activities, such as Odyssey of the Mind. It also has a parent-teacher-student association that supports various educational and enrichment programs. The school additionally organizes spelling bee and geography bee competitions. Valley View Middle School is located in Pleasant Hill, Calif.
