there are times when even the best are not perfect... i had exactly the opposite experience with larry jeffords as the engineer. he had wonderful ideas and executed everything much quicker than expected. when he had a concern, he gave suggestions that ended up being HUGE money savers as well as a better build! i had never met him before this year - barely even heard of him to be honest - but he made the project flow smoothly, and all i can say to the person who recommended him is "THANK YOU!" my home is nearly finished, and it's as structurally safe and sound as it is absolutely beautiful...

Larry Jeffords was hired by my builder, Rick Curry, to design the engineering plans for my log home. There were many problems with the design that ultimately cost me a lost of money to fix since Rick Curry refused to honour the warrantee. There was no structural ridge beam to support the roof rafters. It took a great deal of persuasion to get the bulder to put in collar ties but these were placed too high and not properly fastened to the rafters. Large windows were installed without window headers. The ridge beam used to support a large gable dorner was not nearly strong enough to support the load and the roof had to be jacked up from the inside after construction to prevent collapse!!. At my own expense I had to tear down the ceiling and walls to install beams and posts to support the roof. It was a nightmare. If you need an engineer for a construction project do not hire Larry Jeffords!
