It is very clean, organized, and high tech. I loved this, but it doesn't make up for bad bed-side manner. The doctor showed no compassion or signs of concern on his face as I'm screaming and crying in pain from him pushing on my abdomen and back. The nurse a is coughing constantly which is not safe for her to be around patients. She also wasn't very compassionate. The second time I went to the ER I was asked in a rude tone why I waited so long to come in. I was told by the radiologist that she hopes I don't vomit because she can't handle vomit. The doctor asks me what I want to do about feeling ill, which obviously I'm not a doctor I don't know how to heal myself. Also the coughing nurse literally laughs at me when I ask if I should stay the night there and have an IV (I was curious I thought I might be dehydrated). Then, when I call back and want to leave a message to the doctor I saw for him to contact me back, the receptionist was EXTREMELY rude and refused to take a message and then hung up on me. I'm never going back again unless I'm unconscious and can't decide which hospital I'm being taken to. I value how I'm treated very highly. I am from a city that is a lot bigger than Platteville and I am usually treated so much better at those local hospitals which are much bigger and much busier than SWH. What a shame.
