Founded in 1958, Peters Elementary School serves more than 700 students in pre-kindergarten through grade five. The school offers classes in reading, science, music, Spanish, art and physical education. It organizes various field trips and on-campus events. Peters Elementary School maintains a parent-teacher association and school advisory forum. The school has partnerships with the Bank of America, Outback Steakhouse, Papa John's and Sunrise Cinemas. Its student advisory council serves as a link between the school and the community. Peters Elementary School also offers an accelerated reader program. The school is governed by Broward County Public Schools, which operates several elementary, middle and high schools.
