Nandita Shankar, MD, specializes in General Neurology , Neuromuscular disorders and Neuro-Electrodiagnostic Medicine(EMG/NCV). She is Board Certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and has been in practice since 1995. Dr. Shankar completed her residency in Neurology at Jackson Memorial Hospital/ University of Miami, during which time she was also the Chief Resident .This was followed by Fellowship training in Neuromuscular Medicine / Electromyography , also at the University of Miami under the chairmanship of the renowned Dr Walter G Bradley . She is an active member of the American Academy of Neurology (AAN) and the American Academy of Neuro Electrodiagnostic Medicine (AANEM) as well as various other medical organizations. Dr Shankar is a caring, compassionate and detail oriented neurologist who spends quality time with every patient. She is widely experienced in General Neurology and has tackled many complex diagnostic and therapeutic cases in consultations and in second opinions. Her practice accepts most health insurance plans.
