  Fences and sheds add beauty and utility to a property, if they are in good condition. But how often are they treated and protected? This is especially true in the South, where the ultraviolet rays are the strongest. You might have been told to wait a year before applying any finish, but the longer you wait, the more damage the weather can do, especially here in New England. Within a few months, the sun’s ultraviolet rays break down fibers on the surface of the wood, which begin to dry out and turn the wood gray.

  This 32 year old log home, located in Randolph, Maine was in dire need of a log home restoration. The logs had no protection as the old stain was very weather damaged. The windows and doors were very drafty and were in need of fresh caulking.

  I joined TDC in 2005 because I was looking to use my marketing and sales skills to build a business in the Home Improvement marketplace.  TDC is a perfect fit for me as it allows me to do the work I love combined with running my own service business helping homeowners repair and maintain their property.  As a TDC representative I focus on three areas; Deck restoration, Painting, and Deck & porch construction. The majority of our deck work is very high end focused on the installation of Brazillian hardwoods and composite decks.

  Our techniques also work well on cement or pool patios. We can restore surfaces that have been neglected for years, and get them clean like no household products can. And we use environmentally safe products to do the work.

  Many people choose vinyl as a maintenance-free solution to siding, because you don’t have to paint or treat it like wood. Although vinyl siding requires less maintenance than wood siding, it isn’t completely maintenance-free. You must clean it periodically.
