- Shingle Springs Tribal Health Program offers Medical, Dental, Behavioral Health, Podiatry, Orthopedic and Physical Therapy services. We are proud to operate one of the few clinics in El Dorado Country that accepts both Medicare and Medi-Cal patients. Our professional staff is highly trained in modern medical technology, honoring the role that traditional medicine and beliefs play in healing the body, mind and spirit. Our goal is simple: to provide the community with quality care in a secure and comfortable environment that promotes the total well-being of our patients. The Medical Department providers (physicians, nurse practitioners and physician assistants) are trained in Family Medicine and have extensive experience with all ages and all primary care diseases. We will provide excellent care in prevention of illness and management of chronic medical conditions. The dental department teaches proper dental care and focuses heavily on educating patients to understand how their mouths really work. Many people think of dentists only as the people who clean or drill teeth, not realizing the medical science behind the toothbrush. The teeth are complex organs that work in conjunction with other organs such as the tongue, salivary glands, mandible and maxilla. This is a delicate relationship and is important for patients to understand. The clinic boasts one of the most state-of-the-art dental programs in the area. The staff is regularly kept up-to-date on all the latest procedures, including training on the latest equipment. The antibiotic chip, a time-released treatment for gum disease, is just one of the many exciting new treatments available at the Shingle Springs Tribal Health Program. We care about everyone who walks through our doors. for those without medical coverage we have a sliding fee scale. It is our philosophy to help those most in need of healthcare, regardless of insurance or financial situation.
