Mendon Center Elementary School enrolls more than 750 students in kindergarten through grade five. It offers a variety of academic courses, such as art, computer, health and physical education, library skills, music and science. The school also offers the English for Speakers of other Languages program. Its campus includes an auditorium, gymnasium, cafeteria, library, laboratories and classrooms. Mendon Center Elementary School has a parent-teacher-student association that organizes several fundraising programs, such as science day, spelling bee, Box Tops for Education, book fairs and super sale. Its library stocks a variety of reading and reference materials, such as books, newspapers, magazines, journals, dictionaries and maps. Additionally, the school offers an extracurricular community service program, Helping Hands, which is a combination of before-school meetings and after-school and weekend activities. Mendon Center Elementary School is a part of Pittsford Central Schools and is located in Pittsford, N.Y.
