Taipei Chinese Restaurant, located in Fox Chapel, was founded in November 1985. The owner, Mr. Weng, has been in the restaurant field for over thirty years, perfecting the art of Chinese cooking. He has been able to develop a vast menu to accompany many of his signature sauces, such as General Tso's and Hunan. We understand the success of the restaurant is due to the great service, warm hospitality, passionate employees, and most importantly, hard work. Our Chefs are specialists from China and Taiwan. They have been cooking Chinese food for over ten years. To serve our customer to the best, we frequently create new dishes and find ways to improve our current dishes. To ensure the up-most quality, we only use the freshest meats and vegetables. Tai Pei also considers the customers health, preparing the food to have less oil, lower sodium, and No MSG. This is by far the best Chinese food restaurant I have ever been to! They are even listed on the top 50 chinese food restaurants in the USA! Great customer service, a very nice atmosphere and best of all delicious food!

Their food is a little pricey but well worth the money. The best fried dumplings I've had in quite some time.
It's on the expensive side, but the food is good and the portion size is good. It's a few dollars per item more expensive than House of Chen, which can add up quickly. For two people, figure on paying at least $45 with tip. Their sushi is pricey, not stellar, the pieces of fish are not very generous, but it's not terrible. When you order takeout, you get really nice plastic microwave containers that you can actually reuse. Not sure if this is why their prices are higher, but they do deliver, where House of Chen does not.
