Julia Ward Howe Elementary School serves more than 300 students in kindergarten through grade five. It features a library, cafeteria, playground and classrooms. The school conducts classes in English, math, science, social studies, language arts, art, music, and health and physical education. Julia Ward Howe Elementary School also organizes a variety of extracurricular activities. In addition, its parent-teacher association raises funds for the benefit of the school. Located in Pittsburgh, the school operates under the Mt. Lebanon School District, which is one of the leading school districts in Pennsylvania. It operates junior and high schools, as well as approximately five elementary campuses.
