We would show up for games and no one is there, they tell you about games HOURS before they happen, they let teams pick who they play with so there is always one team winning every game 17-0. Overall no fun anymore. We done.

Old owner is back and rink has been completely repaired and looks great. Looks like they have several new programs. Things to be running on-time and smooth.

Dek Star is poorly run. It takes on average 4 games to actually get a schedule and even then you can not be 100% sure you will be playing that same day. I play in the adult league which is supposed to be minimal contact, but with the poor officiating you are most likely going to be checked tripped and slashed without that team getting a penalty. If you can find another place to play I would highly recommend it. This place is awful!

I played in one of the "adult" leagues there and there is no communication with us either. Just this season, they scheduled us for a game and then the day of, canceled it, rescheduled for two days later, only to reschedule again for the day after that and then one more time for a week later. Never any reasoning. They don't enforce their own rules, they don't maintain a safe atmosphere, and don't treat their customers with any respect whatsoever or keep the rink and scoreboard maintained. Waste of money for the extremely unorganized (don't get a schedule until 6 of 10 games are done, if we get one at all) and very unprofessional business. If you want to play dek hockey, it's much more worth it to go to Penn Hills, no matter what the distance is.

I had the same experience as the first reviewer. No communication whatsoever from the Dek Star group and it is very frustrating.

they cashed the check for registration but never returned any calls about the start of the season. we have never been contacted about when my son's leaque will start playing and no return calls about my inquiry for a refund. services were never delivered, but they took the money!
