EXTECH® is well known for its glazing systems that incorporate PCSS (POLYCARBONATE STRUCTURAL SHEET). Polycarbonate is the fastest growing type of glazing material for both vertical and sloped applications. PCSS is now available in multi-wall panels ranging in thicknesses from 1/4” to 1-5/8”. These panels are co-extruded with UV-protection and can also incorporate solar energy reflective coatings. EXTECH® has developed a monumental skylight system (Series #3700) for PCSS glazing. It has achieved air and water infiltration test numbers superior to those of almost any other skylight (including glass skylights). A curtainwall system using PCSS was also recently developed. Since our inception in 1975, we have developed more than 20 systems (many patented) for the architectural, commercial and industrial markets. EXTECH® has patents on several industrial window systems including our continuous top-hinged system (Series #5300) which allows individual window openings as wide as 150' and offers massive natural light and ventilation. Another patented product is the RIDGELIGHT™ (Series #3500) system, which is hinged along the sides and is designed to accept the thermal movement of adjoining metal roof sheets.
