The City Music Center of Duquesne University is a music school that serves children, teenagers and adults throughout the Tri-State area. The center hosts private sessions and musicianship classes in piano, strings, guitar and jazz ensembles. Its private instrumental course includes ensemble playing, juries and recitals. The City Music Center of Duquesne University s preparatory division offers a nondegree conservatory program for of preschool and middle school students. The center operates a high school division that provides assistance to prepare and pass college entrance examinations and auditions. In addition, it offers primary and elementary eurhythmics classes. The City Music Center of Duquesne University also operates percussion, musicianship, ensembles and voice departments. The center is a member of the National Guild of Community Schools of the Arts (NGCSA) and the National Association of Schools of Music (NASM).
