The Department of Personnel and Civil Service Commission, also known as P&CSC, is a part of the City of Pittsburgh. The department provides a range of human resources services to internal and external customers. It recruits, maintains and develops work force. The Department of Personnel and Civil Service Commission analyzes and redesigns prerequisites for clerical positions. The department develops and implements processes for the electronic distribution of personnel and civil service documents. It also prepares procedural manuals for the Citywide Return-to-Work Program. The Department of Personnel and Civil Service Commission coordinates and facilitates supervisory skills training programs for appointed management and supervisory personnel citywide.
