Avonworth High School is a part of the Avonworth School District. Its departments include computers, foreign languages, including French, Latin and Spanish, language arts, math, science, physical education and health, social studies, art, industrial art, and music. The course of study offered at the school includes honors and advanced curriculum, an academic curriculum and a general and vocational-technical curriculum. Various athletic programs are also available at the school, including softball, baseball, volleyball, track, basketball, tennis and swimming. It also provides various extracurricular activities, including the American Field Service, school newspaper, book club, chess club, yearbook, literary magazine, French club, math league, model United Nations, Red Cross club, ski club, Students Against Destructive Decisions club, student club, Technology Student Association, and theatre. Avonworth High School is located in Pittsburgh.
