Pitkin High School was established in 1915 and provides educational and athletic programs to more than 550 students. The school offers programs in English, math, science, social studies, agriculture and special education. Its library offers a range of books, magazines, journals and reference materials. Pitkin High School provides a variety of sports activities, such as basketball, baseball, softball, cheerleading, cross country and rodeo. Its clubs include student council, publications staff and quiz bowl. The school additionally provides various student services that include serving breakfast and lunch. It is a part of the Vernon Parish School District and is located in Pitkin, La.
