Located in Johnson Park in Piscataway, NJ, East Jersey Old Town Village is comprised of sixteen reconstructed and replica 18th and 19th century structures. They represent architecture typical of farm and merchant communities once found in central New Jersey. Dedicated to teaching the history, traditions, folk arts, and craftsmanship of the people who lived and worked throughout the region, the Village is home to ‘Raritan Landing...Uncovering a Forgotten Past’, a permanent exhibit about Raritan Landing, an 18th-century Colonial port once located on the river. Explore the site and meet the historical interpreters that bring the Village to life through their historic trades and crafts. A gateway site for the Crossroads of the American Revolution, National Heritage Area, and situated along the Washington-Rochambeau National Historic Trail, the Village offers awarding winning exhibits, living history, and seasonal programs.
