Cagle s began with a storefront chicken shop in the heart of downtown Atlanta. It has grown into a worldwide operation, selling approximately 400 million pounds of chicken each year. Cagle s chicken is served throughout the United States, and in many foreign countries, in fast food restaurants, delicatessens, hotels and a variety of other establishments. The company uses contractor-farmers to care for its breeding flock, which produces more than 2.6 million eggs each week. After the chicks are hatched, Cagle s again relies on contractor-farmers during the growing-out phase. The company s products include frozen parts, rotisserie chicken, breaded chicken, eight-piece cut chicken, bulk frozen parts, frozen tray pack parts and boneless skinless breast. Its products are sold under the Cagle's label as well as private label brands. Cagle s is headquartered in Atlanta.
