Small trees that are easily accessible can be quickly removed for as little as $100; damaged, hazardous trees with limited access might take at least a day to remove and could cost up to $10,000. • Stump Grinding and Removal
  Soil compaction, local soil chemistry, and the presence of wood chips from stump grinding can affect your new tree. Once the tree is removed and the stump is ground, the wood chips left in the hole temporarily steal nitrogen and nutrients from the soil, which enables the chips to break down and feed the soil. Certain wood chips from stump grinding may be more acidic than base, and amending the soil can help provide a better balance.
