Highland Elementary School provides a variety of educational services for the academic, social and personal development of children. It serves students in kindergarten through grade five. The school s academic curriculum includes several subjects, such as math, art, music, physical education, social studies and science. It also offers Title I and special education programs. The school runs the English Language Learners program for students with limited English proficiency. Its counseling services include crisis intervention, individual and group counseling, conflict resolution and consultation. The school involves students in a range of activities, including skating parties, music programs, field trips, awards ceremonies and read aloud sessions.
