Mans Best Friend was my trusted kennel of choice for over 8 years and have been very happy with their services, until the week of July 4th 2012. While picking up my dog, I noticed a small sign next to the cash register that I've never seen before. It stated a $3.00 extra charge per dog per day for July 1st-7th. I asked the lady behind the counter, "why the extra charge"? She sarcastically responded, "other kennels do it"! I responded that it sounded a little greedy but accepted it. She then went on to say that my "dog isn't the easiest to take care of, and how he bites the caregivers". FIRST I HEARD OF THIS, Come to find out later, my dog did not bite anyone, instead playfully nips at their ankles because he wants to play more ball! This lady was very rude and unprofessional. I left the business to avoid any further confrontation.

I recently took my dog in for a bath and general cleaning. I was thrilled to see what a wonderful job they did. My pet was cleaned, thoroughly taken care of.

WE have one dog and have used them for long stays and they have been wonderful. Plenty of play time, grooming items have been taken care of and they also remember our pet and make us feel great about leaving him with them. Will continue to use them when we travel..

I was extremely upset when I saw my dogs. I did contact the owner and our money was refunded, however, the dogs pads weren't trimmed, toe nails were not cut, they basically had just a really bad hair cut and didn't even smell like they were washed. I like the products that they sell here, however, will not return for grooming.
