Established in 1899, Veterans of Foreign Wars is one of the largest organizations of combat veterans. Based in Phoenix, Ariz., the community assists families y providing national veteran service, transitioning, troop support, post military assistance, family assistance and national military services. It offers various programs, such as military assistance program, unmet needs program, operation uplink program, benefits delivery at discharge program, among others. Veterans of Foreign Wars have its own VFW magazine, which is the official publication of the Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States.
