Born and raised in a small town in Mississippi, Derry Hammond grew up enjoying the southern tradition of backyard BBQ’s with friends, family and a feast of incredible southern food. After a childhood of helping both grandmas in the kitchen, Derry adapted some of his favorite recipes to create the menu at Sweet Magnolia Smokehouse - and still makes it from scratch daily just like grandma did.
