- Spousal SupportSince 2000, J. Matthew Sims has been a Vocational Economist, specializing in areas of vocational rehabilitation, lost earning capacity, individual forensic economics, hedonic damage rebuttals, and economic damage analysis. He has worked on 120-180 litigated cases per year. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Social Ecology degree from the University of California at Irvine in 1992, a Master of Counseling degree from the University of Phoenix in 1999, and his Master of Science in Economics degree from Arizona State University in 2005. He has been a Vocational Expert for the U.S. Social Security Administration. Mr. Sims is a National Board Certified Counselor, a Forensic Vocational Expert, a Registered Forensic Economist, International Psychometric Evaluation Certified, and a Diplomat of the American Board of Vocational Experts. In September 2022, the Arizona Legislature amended A.R.S. § 25-319, about spousal maintenance orders, effective September 24, 2022. Upon gubernatorial signature, the Supreme Court established the Spousal Maintenance Guidelines Subcommittee (subcommittee) of the Family Court Improvement Committee (FCIC). Mr. Sims volunteered as the economist to create the first of its kind “Spousal Maintenance Calculator,” and to assist with the technical aspects of the Spousal Maintenance Guidelines. - Workers CompensationLora K. White is an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse who has actively prepared life care plans for both plaintiff and defense since 2003. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 1993 from the University of Utah and her Master of Science in Nursing in 2020 from the University of Cincinnati. She presently holds certifications as a Family Nurse Practitioner, Case Manager and Life Care Planner. She has worked in the hospital, inpatient and outpatient case management, acute rehabilitation, clinic, home care, and worker's compensation settings. She currently prepares approximately 75 care plans per year and was a contributing author to the life care planning textbook published by the AANLCP entitled A Core Curriculum for Nurse Life Care Planning. She has been a member of the American Association of Nurse Life Care Planners (AANLCP) since 2005 and is also a member of the International Association of Rehab Professionals (IARP). She is committed to serving her community and has served as a board member of the Humane Society of Southern Arizona from 2012 to 2017 and on various HSSAZ committees from 2009 to 2017. She is an active member of the Daughters of the American Revolution.
