  Jennifer Francyk, joined Family Practice Specialists as a Physician Assistant in May 2014. Her husband, David Francyk, D.O., has been with FPS since 2010. A Phoenix native, Jennifer was born at Good Samaritan Hospital and went to Shadow Mountain High School. She received her B.S. in Psychology at ASU and her Masters of Medical Science Physician Assistant Studies from Midwestern University in Glendale in 2008. Her clinical interests include family medicine, women’s health, pediatrics, and osteopathic medicine.

  Victoria Rhodes, PA-C is the newest member of the Family Practice Specialists team, who has been working with Certified Dermatologist Andrew Racette, D.O. since mid-June 2014. A highly trained PA-C with in-depth experience in both primary care and surgery, Victoria received her B.S. in Applied Biology from the Georgia Institute of Technology, her A.B.S. in Primary Care/Physician Assistant from Cuyahoga Community College, and her Masters of Physician Assistant Studies from the University of Nebraska Medical Center, with a specialty in General Surgery.

  Dr. Gloyd comes to Family Practice Specialists after working for several years in a rural Texas community. While there, he practiced inpatient medicine, obstetrics including c-sections, pre and post patron care, newborn and pediatric care while also overseeing nursing home patients. Dr. Gloyd likes to say his patient age range is 0-150 years old. He also worked as an ER physician in a Level IV trauma center. Dr. Gloyd is fluent in Spanish, and his previous positions involved working with a significant number of Spanish-speaking patients.

  Dr. Walter Koppenbrink is a third generation physician, specializing in internal medicine and gastroentology. He attended the prestigious medical school at Washington University in St. Louis, and in 1976 moved to the Phoenix area for his residency and fellowship work at the Maricopa Medical Center. He most recently was in solo private practice before joining Family Practice Specialists early in 2015.

  Dr. David J. Anderson is a twenty year veteran of clinical eye-care, he is an expert in the chronic allergic response. He has lectured for both Alcon and Inspire on the treatment of Dry Eye and Allergic Conjunctivitis and their relationship to one another and has developed and presented several COPE approved continuing education lectures on the subject. His enthusiasm for allergic conjunctivitis, and dry eye started as a student and has remained unabated over the years as witnesses by his intense enthusiasm on the subject whenever he speaks formally or informally on the subject. In addition he is a strong advocate of Optometrists practicing full scope medical eye-care to the benefit of their patients. Since being diagnosed with type two diabetes his new focus entails reducing the morbidity of diabetic retinopathy with a new program to improve eye care delivery to the diabetic patient population and is also pioneering telemedicine in this area.

  During 22 years in Ohio she was involved in a lot of complicated surgery and was in charge of the wound clinic. In 2008, she transitioned from general surgery to dermatology, where she was able to put her surgical experience to use in cryosurgery, excisions with complicated repairs, wide excisions for melanoma, in addition to debridements and wound care. She enjoys interacting with patients and being able to help them. She is always happy when conditions like skin cancer can be spotted and taken care of early.

  Kate Montgomery,FNP, is originally from St. Louis, MO. After receiving her medical training she practiced as an expert clinician and consultant for trauma and head and neck oncology patients as well as general otolaryngology and caring for neurosurgery patients. Kate Montgomery designed a teaching tool for incentive spirometry that is in use at John Cochran Veteran’s Administration Hospital in St. Louis, MO. She also participated in the published cardio vascular study ‘The Reduction of Atherothrombosis for Continued Health’ (REACH). Kate's accomplishments include being credential as an HIV Specialist by the American Academy of HIV medicine. AAHIVM HIV Specialists are experienced in HIV care and providers who earn the "AAHIVM" professional designation must pass a rigorous exam on all aspects of HIV medicine every two years.
