Phoenix PD - Police Report #19-1132204
On 7/3/2019 I spent $1,560 on repairs to my vehicle. This came less than a month after a $900 purchase for new tires, new belts, new brakes.
My cell phone fell out of my pocket when I was picked up by the courtesy shuttle from Big-O. I noticed this, then used Google to track the location of my phone. It was at Big-O tire.
When I drove back down there and showed the employees that my phone was at their location, every one of the employees including the manager claimed they knew nothing about it. I then instructed Google to make my phone ring for 5 minutes.
Turns out that an employee who knew my phone was missing found it in the jacket pocket of one of the employees. Instead of grabbing my cell phone, he left it there and went to tell his manager. This allowed the employee to take my phone and leave.
The employee was fired. Charges were filed, and it was determined from video evidence that the employee - Cody Jones - found my phone, attempted to break into it, and when that didn't work he put it in his pocket.
Big O Tire handed me a 400 gift card to Best Buy, and that's supposed to take care of the whole thing.
Did it?
It's 7/18/2019, and after becoming stranded with a flat tire, I called Big O Tire. Their suggestion?
Tow the vehicle at my expense. It's less than 10 miles away.
If you read this review - and you still do business with Big O Tire, you should never read another review. Give up, delete your account and accept whatever comes to you.
Cody Jones has worked at this location between June 2018 through July 3, 2019. If you had your vehicle repaired at this location, and you also lost something from that vehicle - this is probably why.
