Founded in 1991 as DraW Computing, OpenWorlds is a software company that is focused on providing immersive, interactive, and intelligent Web 3-D graphics and multimedia capabilities for application developers through its proprietary OpenWorlds technology. Originally developed for the National Aeronautical and Space Administration for use in its e-training program, OpenWorlds is used in e-learning, Web-commerce and a wide variety of other applications. OpenWorlds is an open system that extends new and legacy applications with immersive 3-D graphics and multimedia, animation and virtual reality simulation capabilities. The company s consulting services include the custom development of 3-D multimedia applications and integration, installation and deployment services and application design assistance. The company s clients include SGI, NASA, Mitsubishi, the United States Navy, Sharp Electronics and Tpresence. OpenWorlds maintains its corporate headquarters in Philadelphia.
