General Info
Dr. Meyerson is one of a very limited group of Board Certified Proctologists in Pennsylvania. His practice is dedicated to the diagnosis and state-of-the-art treatment of proctologic disorders. Over the years, he has earned a reputation as one of the area's leading proctologists by bringing relief to thousands of people suffering from pain and discomfort. Dr. Meyerson's philosophy is based on his personal belief that all patients are entitled to know and fully understand the nature of their individual problems, as well as the treatment alternatives available to them. He devotes ample time to personally working with every patient. He takes the time to review each case individually and to thoroughly discuss the treatment options and procedures. Based on his vast experience, he has developed a conservative approach to treatment that employs simple, usually painless, office procedures to avoid hospital surgery whenever possible. Dr. Meyerson is well-versed in state-of-the-art techniques used to treat hemorrhoids, rectal pain, rectal itching, fissures, fistulas, colitis, colon polyps, irritable bowel syndrome, diarrhea, diverticulosis, constipation, pilonidal cysts, anal warts, bleeding, and other rectal/bowel discomfort. His sensitivity and consideration for every patient's personal situation has been instrumental in helping people overcome fear and embarrassment. Patients are able to discuss their problems in a very relaxed and comfortable, care-centered environment.

Very condescending in a subtle way. All he cares about is getting your money. I do not recommend this doctor for anyone.

i have to say that I haven't experienced any of the issues the other 2 reviews have. I saw him for standard issues - he was pleasant and helped. Yes they handle insurance up front - its a business choice. He is thorough all his associates at the hospital said so. That is what I needed as he discovered polyps and certainly helped make me more aware of colorectal cancer. The list of things not to do "sucked" but after a few weeks we started to a add things back in one at a time. This was to determine if food choices were involved in my condition. Btw - coffee was the first add, beer was the second. I can only speak for myself - I was in awful pain when I went in and I wasn't after following treatment prescribed. I was able to complete a pain free marathon 3 weeks afterwards. Enjoyable as all my training was in misery. Make your own choice but my opinion is pro.

I can't rate his proficiency because I can't afford to see him. I called for a price, the woman who answered the phone proudly told me an appointment is $500.00
Went to this doctor on advise of friend. 1st thing I noticed was that his staff collected on the insurance deductable as soon as you walk in. Later my friend said he overcharged him and made it sound like it was my friend's fault. After being out of several hundred dollars in the hole after several visits, my bleeding problem got better but in the past I've got better without help. Also noticed Dr. had no sympathy to person's comfort or lifestyle. Example: had some issues where need to be home to take care of problem in the daytime. He would even help to write a doctor's note. Dr's solution was to go to bed at 8pm. Yeah go to bed at 8. Also gave a list to do that was unrealistic and expensive. He just laughed when I told him how difficult it was. This guy advertises on local AM radio but I think he's all about the money. When you go to his office, you can feel the tension in his staff. They just don't want to be there also.
