Dr. Zhangs clinical practice focuses on both benign and malignant breast surgery, with a specific clinical interest in locally advanced/inflammatory and estrogen receptor positive breast cancers.A graduate of Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, Dr. Zhang completed a residency in general surgery at Beth Israel Medical Center in Boston, and a fellowship in Breast Surgical Oncology at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSKCC) in New York.In addition to her practice, Dr. Zhang conducts research centered around understanding the role of tumor-associated macrophages and dendritic cells in breast cancer and how to target these cells to improve breast cancer therapies. Dr. Zhangs research is a collaboration with the laboratory of Robert Vonderheide, MD, DPhil, Director of the Abramson Cancer Center.
