Dr. Rick Wilson graduated in 1987 from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine. He then completed a General Practice Residency at the Albert Einstein Medical Center. He taught on a part-time basis at Penn Dental for four years, and at Einstein ever since 1992.Dr. Wilson is a member of the American Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry, the International Academy for Adhesive Dentistry, and the Philadelphia Academy of Stomatology, a dental continuing education society founded in 1894 which is the oldest of its kind in the United States. In 2001 and 2003, Dr. Wilson served as President of the Academy of Stomatology and for years was Essay Chairman, arranging four scientific lectures each year. He is now Historian.Concerned with best treatment outcomes, Dr. Wilson innovated by bringing the Surgical Operating Microscope into our dental practice. Our treatments are performed with unparalleled light and magnification. Another vital factor in treatment excellence is the comfort and well-being of all the folks responsible for those treatments. Dr. Wilson is currently working on fabricating fixtures and equipment that will greatly improve the ergonomics of the dental office. This, in turn, will improve patient care.Dr. Wilson has been married to his wife, Michelle, since 1984. She is Group Vice President, Senior Underwriting & Construction Administration Manager at the Bryn Mawr Trust Company. They have two daughters, Amanda and Jenna.Dr. Wilson enjoys music, astronomy, restoring antique Telechron clocks, and recumbent bicycling. In 2014 he published his first novel, The Man Who Wore Mismatched Socks.

Visiting the dentist is kind of scary for me, so when I find a dentist I like I stay with them. I just moved to Philadelphia and I’m so glad I found Dr Wilson so fast. He is very reassuring and spent a lot of time to make sure I was ok. I have gum recession and all my previous dentists told me I would have to deal with the sensitivity until I needed gum surgery, but Dr Wilson treated my sensitivity and it’s gone! For the first time since high school I don’t think about my teeth every day.

Dr. Wilson single-handedly removed all anxiety that I ever associated with a dental visit. His willingness to explain everything from technology used during procedures to medical trials that are currently in the works, allowed me to learn more in one 45 minute visit, than I had learned in my whole life. His passion for what he does is unmatched and I was thoroughly impressed with everything that went into making my experience as effective, efficient, and enjoyable as possible.
I have been coming to Dr. Wilson for over 30 years. My children and some of my grandchildren see him. Coming to this practice is like coming to visit family. You are greeted warmly in a very comfortable office environment. All of the staff are very skilled and very professional. This is a "no anxiety" environment. Dr. Wilson is very open about what you need and will never try to "sell" you anything unneccessary. I feel that I am in excellent hands with Dr. Wilson and I wouldn't go anywhere else.
Seeing Dr Wilson is always a comfortable experience. If you are going there for a problem with your teeth or just there for your check-up, Dr Wilson always treats you like you are his only patient and gives you his full attention.
I always find the staff here welcoming and friendly. I actually drive quite a distance to have my dental work done at this office. I feel relaxed and I love that they remember almost any conversations and experiences. They truly listen and enjoy spending the time with you. A most welcoming and professional experience wrapped up in one!

I have been seeing Dr. Wilson for about ten years and he and the staff are always a pleasure to deal with. My teenagers have also been patients from about the age of two and he and technicians have always been wonderful with them. I would happily recommend this practice to anyone.
